Challenges in Climate Finance Governance and the Way Out
Bangladesh is ranked as most vulnerable country in the world due to the effect of global climate change. According to Climate Change Vulnerability Index (CCVI) 2011, Bangladesh is ranked as the most vulnerable country and considered as the ‘extreme risk’ category among 170 countries due to the impacts of climate change over the next 30 years. Further, IPCC 4th assessment report predicts that, 1 million coastal people of Bangladesh will be climate refugee within 2050 due to sea level rise.

জলবায়ু অর্থায়নে সুশাসনের চ্যালেঞ্জ ও করণীয়
বৈশ্বিক জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের নেতিবাচক প্রভাবে পৃথিবীর যেসব দেশ সবচেয়ে বেশি ঝুঁকির সম্মুখীন তার মধ্যে বাংলাদেশের অবস্থান শীর্ষে। বাংলাদেশের উন্নয়ন, মানুষের জীবন-জীবিকা, আর্থ-সামাজিক অগ্রগতি ও স্থিতিশীলতা এবং দারিদ্র বিমোচন তথা সার্বিকভাবে নিরাপত্তা ও অস্তিত্বের প্রতি অন্যতম চ্যালেঞ্জ হিসাবে জাতীয় এবং আন্তর্জাতিকভাবে জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনকে চিহ্নিত করা হয়েছে। আগামী ৩০ বছরে জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন জনিত কারণে সবচেয়ে ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ দেশগুলোর মধ্যে বাংলাদেশ একটি।
