Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) released the second report on the 4th, 5th and 6th session of the 8th Parliament through a workshop on 2nd May, 2003 at the Chamber House Auditorium, in Chittagong. The Commerce Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury was present as the chief guest. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, TIB Professor Khan Sarwar Murshid, Professor Muzaffer Ahmad, Member, Board of Trustees, TIB and Research Associate Md. Abdul Alim attended workshop. Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury, Abul Momen, Dr. Mahbubullah, Advocate Rana Das Gupta, Dr. Nizam Uddin Ahmed, Dr. Muhammad Yeahia Akhter and Sisir Dutt also took part in the discussion. Channel I, and ATN Bangla featured the workshop in their evening news. The workshop also received extensive coverage in the print media. The workshop was organized by the Friends of TIB
Theatre Performance in the 7th Convention of Bangladesh Udichi Shilpi Goshthi, Agricultural University Branch
Bangladesh Udichi Shilpi Goshthi, Agricultural University Branch invited the TIB Theatre Group to perform in their 7th Convention on 14th May 2003. The Mymensingh Theatre Group performed its second production Lal Sabuzer Deshe (The Land of Red and Green) in the convention. More than one thousand and five hundred students and teachers of the university enjoyed the performance. TIB Programme Officer Ekram Hossain spoke on the occasion. Mymensingh CCC member Professor Zatin Sarker, Advocate Emdadul Hoque Millad and Field Assistant Karuna Kishore Chakrabarti attended the programme.
