Workshop at Nalitabari
The Nalitabari CCC and TIB organised a daylong workshop on 'the Role of the Citizens for Establishing Transparency and Accountability at the Local Level' on 6th June at the Nalitabari Caritas auditorium. M. A. Hakam Hira, Convenor of CCC Nalitabari presided over the workshop. Programme Specialist of TIB Abu Zayed Mohammad was the facilitator. Around 30 representatives from various professions were present at the workshop.
Meetings with CBA leaders and officials of Chittagong Port
TIB is currently doing a diagnostic study on Chittagong Port. In this regard, TIB officials sat at a meeting with the CBA leaders of Chittagong Port on 2nd June. Held at a private office at Halisahar of Chittagong City, discussions were held during the meeting on the difficulties of port activities. The CBA leaders gave assurance of all-out cooperation in this regard. Six senior CBA leaders and Research Officer of TIB Sydur Rahman Molla, Outreach Relations Officer, Mohammed Imam Uddin, Coordinator of Friends of TIB Ctg. M. Hamidul Islam were present at the meeting. TIB officials also met with Member Operations of Chittagong Port Authority at another meeting on the same day.
