Meeting of Volunteers
A regular monthly meeting of TIB volunteers was held at the Mymensingh CCC office on 13 August. The theme of the meeting was Result Debacle in Public Examination and Our Responsibilities. The keynote paper was presented by TIB volunteer Saiful Alam Selim. Thirty volunteers spontaneously discussed the issue and expressed their interest to work alongside TIB. Member of CCC Mymensingh Md. Momtaz Uddin acted as the moderator.
Focus Group Discussions
Two Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) were held on 14 August at the Teripara Government Primary School under Tarati Union of Muktagacha and at the office of Prottasha Women Development Society. The discussions were arranged to improve the standard of healthcare and overall management of Muktagacha Health Complex. The meetings were jointly organized by TIB and the Muktagacha CCC. 30 women from the surrounding villages took part in the two FGDs. Field Organizer of Muktagacha CCC, Akhi Kunda acted as moderator. CCC member Nurul Islam Nuru, TIB Programme Officer Ekram Hossain and Programme Assistant Karuna Kishore Chakrabarty were also present.
