People's Theatre Acclaimed by Rajshahi Audience
Around a thousand spectators assembled at the folklore premises of Rajshahi University to enjoy the presentation of an anti-corruption play Relief staged by the Nalitabari People's Theatre of TIB on 15 October. The people's Theatre received adulation of the spectators by performing both at Court premises and at Shaheb Bazar of Rajshahi. 'Friends of TIB' organized the program.
TIB officials and the artistes of the theatre group sat at a meeting with the student and teachers of Folklore Department of Chittagong University on 15 October to exchange views. Held at the department auditorium, discussions were held during the meeting on future cooperation in addition to sharing experiences. Folklore Department gave assurance of all-out cooperation in this regard. Dr. Abul Hasan Chowdhury, Dr. Mobara Siddika and Dr. Akther Hossain of Folklore Department, Outreach Relations Officer of TIB Mohammad Imam Uddin, Coordinator Theatre Kamal Hossain Mintu, and member of CCC Nalitabari Samedul Islam Talukder were also present.
Advocacy Meeting in Mymensingh
An advocacy meeting was arranged by CCC (Mymensingh) at the office of Upazila Education Officer on 14 October for discouraging corruption in primary education. Upazila Education Officer Shafiqul Islam, CCC members Prof. Zatin Sarker, Sharifuzzaman Parag and Program Assistant of TIB Karuna Kishore Chakrabarty were present at the meeting.
