Focus Group Discussion on Ombudsman
Transparency International Bangladesh has drafted a working paper on Ombudsman in Bangladesh. In this regard a focus group discussion was arranged on 28 January 2004 at TIB office in Gulshan to solicit views and add value to the draft working paper. Professor Khan Sarwar Murshid, Chairman, Board of Trustees, TIB presided over the meeting, while Professor Muzaffer Ahmad highlighted the salient features of the working paper. Golam Rabbani, Former Justice, Appellate Division, Former Deputy Speaker Md Ali Ashraf, Abdul Mannan MP, Former IGP Abdul Khaleque, Joint Editor of Prothom Alo Abdul Quayum, Professor A T M Obaidullah among others were present at the meeting. Dr. Asif Nazrul, Consultant, TIB and Shamaila Mahbub, Research Associate of TIB were also present during the discussion.
