TIB?s move in Nalitabari to improve the quality of education
TIB recently has initiated various measures to improve the quality of education in schools through advocacy campaigns. As a part of this effort, a discussion meeting was held in the premises of Charu Government Primary School, Nalitabari on 27 June 2004. The members of the local CCC and the school committee were present while Jobaida Khatun, President of the School Committee presided. The meeting discussed on existing problems of the education sector including number of students and other amenities provided by the school authority. Later a monitoring cell was formed to observe and prevent the dropout rate in schools.
CCC of Nalitabari has also launched a quiz programme ?Quiz Quiz? for its volunteers in a drive to create awareness against corruption. Besides, this quiz competition aims at teaching them about the history and heritage of Bangladesh.
