Workshop on 'Services of the Union Parishad' held
Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) and Committees of Concerned Citizens (CCC) jointly organized a workshop on 19 December at the Mymensingh Sadar Upazilla Auditorium, Mymensingh. Local UP Chairman attended the workshop. The discussions at the meeting focused on improving the services of Union Parishads. A significant number of women members were also present at this meeting and talked about their problems. The waorkshop was chaired by Dr. Nazmanara Khanum, UNO, Sadar Upazilla. TIBs Program Officer Samapika Halder also spoke.
Besides, regular CCC meetings were held in Rangpur, Lalmonirhat, Kurigram, Rajshahi, Natore and Chapai Nawabgonj areas. A training workshop on Report Card Survey for the CCC members was also held in Rangpur on 11-12 December.
