Climate Finance and Governance in Project Implementation: The Case of Bangladesh Water Development Board - Executive Summary (English)

Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) has been working as the principal agency of the government for managing water resources of the country since its inception. BWDB is also one of the agencies who has been implementing climate projects, especially those funded by the Bangladesh Climate Change Trust Fund (BCCTF). The Board has been involved in implementation of a total number of 141 climate finance projects (till July 2017) receiving a total amount of about BDT 1132 crore, which is about 40% of the total funds BCCTF has allocated so far.
