Jamalpur, 13 December 2023: In a bid to enhance the quality of health service and ensure good governance in the local hospitals, a public hearing took place between in Jamalpur. Jointly organised by the district’s Committee for Concerned Citizens (CCC) and the 250-bed Jamalpur General Hospital authority, the event saw active participation of all the stakeholders concerned.
District Civil Surgeon Dr. Pranay Kanti Das highlighted the government initiatives to improve overall health services in Jamalpur. Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman, Assistant Director of the hospital, urged the service recipients to refrain from money transactions without receipt - to curb the influence of brokers. TIB's Area Coordinator Md. Arif Hossain moderated the public hearing, where CCC President Ajay Kumar Pal, the hospital authority, doctors, service recipients, local citizens, and the CCC, ACG and YES members were present.
